Today I'll start a series of blogs on the local bike shops (LBS) that can be found in Montalban (Rodriguez), Rizal. My intention here is to show the services and location of each LBS, so that local and visiting bikers may know where to go when they need parts and services.

First off will be the Montalban Bike Center. This LBS is currently the only Shimano dealer in Montalban. With this LBS in Montalban, bikers can already buy Shimano parts here at Quiapo prices. No need to go far to get better prices.
Currently, it also offers the widest range of parts and accessories available in Montalban. This LBS offers the whole gamut of parts and accessories, from spokes to wheelsets, from brake levers to hydraulic disk brake sets, from shiftersto the whole drivetrain groupset, and from bottle cage to cyclo-computers.

It seems the Montalban Bike Center's target clientele are the mountain bikers. For MTB, it has generic to medium-end built bikes and parts readily available. High-end bikes and parts are on per-order basis. Unfortunately for roadies, it does not have built bikes and parts for road bikes. Aside from these, it also has built bikes and spare parts for kiddie bikes and BMXs.
Owned by Nino Padpad, this LBS how has two stores in Montalban. It's original store is along the Rodriguez Highway in Bgy. San Jose, between the public market and the San Jose bridge. The second one is located along the national highway in Bgy. San Rafael fronting Total Gas station.
