King of the Mountain XCM Cycling Challenge
(1st Mayor Elyong Hernandez Cycling Cup)

Start time: 7AM (please arrive earlier)

(NOTE: This race supercedes the fun cycling race we announced earlier.)

Elite/Pro
30 years old and below
31 - 40 years old
41 years old and above

Elite/Pro:
1st place - trophy, P10,000 cash
2nd place - trophy, P7,000 cash
3rd place - trophy, P5,000 cash
4th-10th place - medal

Age categories:
1st place - trophy, P7,000 cash
2nd place - trophy, P5,000 cash
3rd place - trophy, P3,000 cash
4th-10th place - medal

RACE ROUTE:

This is a cross-country marathon cycling race. More than 40 kms. of paved and rugged roads, with mountain ascents up to 2000 ft. above sea level. Starts from and ends at the Rodriguez town hall.

This will be a running mass start.

Route starts from the town hall, to Bgy. San Isidro (thru Eastwood Residences), to Bgy. Mascap (ascents and rugged terrain starts here, to Sitio Makailangan (Bgy. Puray, mountain peak 1), to Veterans/Helipad (Bgy. Macabud, mountain peak 2), to Bgy. Macabud proper (descent starts here), to Bgy. San Jose, and back to the town hall.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS AND MECHANICS:

1. Bike - MTBs only
2. Tires: size - 1.85 and above; type - semi-slick to knobbed/treaded (no slick tires, for safety reasons)
3. All participants should be wearing helmets at race time
4. All participants should finish the same route, regardless of categories
5. Food and drinks available along the route
6. Cut-off time to finish race: 2PM. All left behind shall be picked up by SAG.

REGISTRATION:

Registration fee is P300 (includes race bib, raffle coupon, event tshirt, food, and Certificate of Participation).
